Nuclear Power Brings Business Opportunity To Titanium Industry

Nuclear power brings business opportunity to titanium industry

Titanium is usually called "space metal", "ocean metal", "universal metal". From the domestic consumption field of titanium, 41% of the chemical industry, 13% in sports and leisure, 13% in aerospace, 7% in salt production, 7% in metallurgy and 19% in the other. The consumption structure of titanium material in the world is that commercial aircraft account for 46%, industry accounts for 43%, and military accounts for 9%. Along with the state space of large aircraft project and the promotion of the popular models, long-term planning of nuclear power, the introduction of a new round of Chinese upgraded weapons, the international aviation industry rebound and titanium price rise, the titanium industry in China will usher in structural development opportunities, the future Chinese titanium demand will increase by more than 20%.

With the increasingly prominent global climate change problem, nuclear power generation is playing an increasingly important role in global energy transformation because of its mature technology and low carbon efficiency. The effective development and utilization of nuclear energy and the acceleration of international nuclear power cooperation have become the common mission of the international community.

China's nuclear power has become a force that can not be ignored in the world's energy market. Nuclear energy has entered a new period of large-scale development in China. China is becoming the center of nuclear power development, and has injected strong power into the global nuclear energy development.

In July 31st, the China Nuclear Energy Industry Association issued the report of China's nuclear power operation in the first half of this year. The report shows that as of June 30th, China's commercial operation of the nuclear power plant, a total of 36 units, the installed capacity of 34718.16 MW (rated installed capacity), the largest unit in the world ranks first in the world.

According to the "13th Five-Year" plan, by 2020, China's nuclear power installed capacity will reach 58 million kilowatts, 30 million kilowatts under construction. Previously, Chen Jining, Minister of environmental protection, has revealed that by 2020, the number of nuclear power plants in China will reach more than 90 units. From installed capacity, it will surpass France and become the second largest nuclear power country in the world, next to the US.

China's nuclear power technology line is flourishing. In the three generation of reactors, there are both AP1000 and EPR imported from abroad, as well as the self developed "Hualong No.1" and CAP1400. With CAP1400 and the "Hualong No. 1" as the symbol, China has formed the three generation nuclear power technology with independent intellectual property rights. Among them, China's independent research and development of the world's first high temperature gas cooled reactor demonstration project, is due to the fourth generation of nuclear power safety features attracted worldwide attention.
